Then the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, "It is the Lord!" As soon as Simon Peter heard him say, "It is the Lord," he wrapped his outer garment around him (for he had taken it off) and jumped into the water.

In Luke 8:5, after Jesus had miraculously provided a large number of fish, Peter exclaimed "depart from me Lord, for I am a sinful man". This time, in John 21, he runs in the direction of Jesus, as he recognises that he his sin need not keep him from the Master.
